Winchelsea

Just like Rye, Winchelsea is an ancient town and is one of England’s hidden medieval gems.  To appreciate this lovely town’s treasures and remarkable history, a private tour is by far the best idea.  Being an ex Winchelsea cellar guide himself, Mike is an excellent choice of guide when looking to see the amazing architecture, beautiful Church and hear all about the town that was swallowed by the sea.  A private tour of Winchelsea is a must!

Battle

Battle is the legendary site of the Battle of Hastings.  In its 950th anniversary year what better time to explore the site of the conflict which changed England’s history?  Mike has taught at and walked on the Battle Field for over 15 years and can give you a unique insight into the events of this most famous day in English history.

Hastings Old Town

Hastings is made up of two towns and the Old Town is (arguably!) the lesser known of the two.  Taking a private tour of the Old Town is a fabulous way to explore one of England’s great Medieval ports, and being an Old Town resident himself, Mike is the ideal person to tell you all about its vast and varied history; whilst pointing out the quirky streets and recommending where to get a decent glass of wine or cup of coffee!
